The Cancer Screening in Five Continents (CanScreen5) Train the Trainers learning programme for cancer screening programme managers from African countries started online, in October 2019, and is now holding its face-to-face component on 17-19 May 2022.
The 2,5 day-programme, generously hosted by the Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), includes keynote lectures from Dr Sharon Kapambwe and Dr Jean-Marie Dangou, from the World Health Organization, Regional Office for Africa (AFRO/WHO). The event, gathering 13 African countries, will strengthen the dynamic global network of master trainers capable of training health care providers on cancer screening program monitoring, evaluation and quality improvement.
